PRODOM WINES
This portfolio consist of several images from a short project I did in 2020 with Prodom Wines, an official brand of Gıdatay Company. My idea behind this project is to follow up a short process of winemaking. From vineyard to the glass, a trip to delicious taste.
I wanted to see the people collecting the grapes and the process of selecting them in factories.
People living in Güney, the high-altitude vine growing district of Denizli, wake up early in the morning during the harvest season to fill the crates with grapes that have to be in the winery within hours.
The crates are transported by refrigerated trucks, and are kept in the cold storage to be pressed the next day. It takes only one day for a bunch to start fermenting at the winery. Fermentation is the most important step in the process of turning into wine.
It was a pleasure for me to see each step in the field and in the factory. Thanks to the Gıdatay Company and their friendly staff.
